Evelyn J. Maldonado, Esq., Associate

Ms. Maldonado, Esq. is a graduate of the City University of New York School of Law and graduated cum laude from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies.

Ms. Maldonado, Esq. is currently an Adjunct Lecturer Professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She has taught Constitutional Law and currently teaches Spanish for Law Enforcement and Emergency Responders.

Her work on International Law and Law Enforcement has appeared in the SAGE Criminal Law Encyclopedia. She was an Editor of the New York City Law Review and served as Editor-in-Chief of The International Law Newsletter. She was also the recipient of the New York State Bar Association’s 2004 Law Student Legal Ethics Award.

Ms. Maldonado, Esq. specializes in personal injury, family, matrimonial, and immigration law. Her accomplishments while at the firm include:

• Participation in a settlement involving two major personal injury cases.
• Obtaining favorable personal injury decisions against defendants’ motions to dismiss.
• Achievement of favorable decisions for applicants of Asylum, Cancellation of Removal, and Adjustment of Status from Immigration Judges and USCIS Adjudication Officers.
• Representation of clients in uncontested divorce matters before the New York State Supreme Court.
• Successful resolution of cases involving Traffic Violations.
• Aiding in the preparation and representation of cases involving Family Custody petitions.
